the end [Thursday August 23rd, 2007 10:48am] I just uploaded all my pictures from my trip to sf and I was about to make a post, and I thought what a perfect time to start my new lj. This year has been nuts. A few too many twists and turns, but life is good right now. And thats the way I like to end things on my journals. so gross [Sunday August 19th, 2007 8:16pm] My mom came home today, so I was just hanging out with her on her bed and she asks if I had bug bites lately and I'm like yeah its weird. And shes like I think carlee brought fleas into the house, I look over and I see a little bug jump, I try and smash it and it jumps away....I google it and its a freaking flea. I am so grossed out. My mom is putting one of those bomb things in my house tomorrow. So glad I am leaving tonight. And on that note, I am leaving in about an hour to Union Station, at around 11:30 the bus will pick us up and at around 6:30am we will be arriving in san francisco. I am way excited. fist [2] fight

shop shop [Thursday August 16th, 2007 9:21pm] Yesterday was a really good day. I met up with franny in the morning and we went to claremont for lunch, afterwards berto came over and we went to huntington beach and sat in the sand, then we went to long beach and saw rx bandits. It was such a great show and i had a lot of fun dancing. :) I work this weekend, then sunday night we leave for San Francisco! And here a shopping list of things I will be buying soon/fall. joke [Monday August 13th, 2007 8:42pm] I've got really bad jaw pains. :( Today went by really fast. Got up around 1030, ate breakfast then i got ready. Berto came over and we went to mt sac so he could straighten some of his school stuff out. After that we went to the spectrum and i got my eyebrows waxed, then we went to walmart and i bought floss :). Afterwards we went to henrys so I could buy some amy's bean and rice burritos. But we ended up buying vegetarian chili, french bread, lemon muffin and some vitamin water. It made a really great lunch. We watched a movie about space and physics, it was crazy. Did any of you ever have an american girl doll? Well when i was in the 4th grade I really wanted one, and after asking and asking i finally got one. But she was expensive and i never wanted to mess her up so she pretty much got neglected and i never played with her. Today i was cleaning my room and i saw her and i felt so bad, her hair was all tangled and shes missing a shoe. so i did the strangest thing and i put her in the sink and i washed her hair and i combed it out and i stood her on my dresser. hahahaha. i feel totally weird talking about that. fist [2] fight

adjust [Sunday August 12th, 2007 12:11pm] Last night was pretty great. I met up with berto and his friend kirstin at his house. We went down the the art walk and we went to the record store and berto and I drank some coke with whiskey. Afterwards we walked down to the store where her bf was dj'ing. They had some cool art work up. I really liked the colors and lines. We went and got sushi afterwards. I only ate 2 pieces because I wasn't very hungry. Berto and I left after that and we went to pick albert up. We went to some crazy hill hiking trail thing so we could a meteor shower. It was crazy and I kept thinking a bear, mountail lion or snake was going to attack me. But it didn't happen. :) and we saw a few shooting stars and it was really awesome. Then we went back to his house and I got my car and I went home. Suchhhh a good night. Summer is almost done and I'm really happy with the way things are turning out. fist [0] fight

no deal [Saturday August 11th, 2007 11:33am] My work is hiring new people and I'm a little anxious to see what kind of person they hire. My manager just interviewed a girl and its weird because I've gotten used to being the only girl here. Whenever a new girl is hired the guys at work get all excited and they start acting weird. I don't know if I can handle that again. For the 1st time this week I actually had to wake up. Which was weird because the past week the earliest I've woken up is 945 and the latest being 1130. This morning when my alarm went off I had no idea what in the world it was. Ohhh no work days come back! Haha. This morning I registered for school. It was pretty crazy, but for the most part I got the classes I needed. I am still going to try and petition 2 but we'll see. fist [0] fight

mild [Friday August 10th, 2007 2:29pm] Wow the weather has been so mild this year, its crazy. Im so used to august being really gross and filled with days where i refuse to leave the house until sun down. But its not so bad. Maybe upper 80's and the nights are soo nice. All you want to do is lay down in the middle of the street and just enjoy life. Katrinas dad had an older nikon camera and katrina wanted berto and I to teach her how to use it. so yesterday we went down to 2nd street and we took pictures. i took some but i havent gotten them put on a cd yet, but the negatives look good. dog park [Wednesday August 8th, 2007 7:54pm] Today Berto and I took carlee and shibby to the dog park, I think they had a lot of fun. I haven't done much today. I woke up around 11:15, I ate breakfast and did nothing online. I went to the dog park and after that I had lunch/dinner and I layed around some more. Oh lazy summer days never leave me. I made a flickr today, I've got no idea how to use it. But if anyone wants to be a contact or whatever you can find me under Minamonster. :) fist [2] fight

set date [Tuesday August 7th, 2007 1:34pm] On sunday when Berto and I went to pasadena I tried on the necklace from tiffanys and that was it. I've got to have it. In other news, today we purchased our bus tickets and reserved the hotel for our trip to san francisco. We will be leaving Sunday the 19th at 11pm and arive early Monday in san francisco, we will walk around and do lots of fun things and take a ton of pictures, we are staying monday night and doing more fun things on tuesday. On tuesday at 11pm we leave and arrive back in southern california early wednesday morning. I'm really excited. This trip is something I've been needing. We are going to come back with a million rolls of used film. But because of this trip I will be broke until next friday. Which is alright because the only thing I really need to do is pay for gas to get to work. So it shouldn't be too bad. And after that school starts on the 27th. black skinny jeans [Monday August 6th, 2007 9:40am] This has been such a good weekend. These past few weekends have actually been really good. It makes me really happy. Friday: Berto and I went to some kickback party thing. We stayed up all night talking, driving around and going to walmart. Saturday: Took my mom to get her car fixed. Went home and slept 4 hours. My mom took me shopping and I got one pair of skinny black jeans and a pair of regular skinny blue jeans. I also got 2 pairs of bras. :) I went over to bertos house and we went and ate rubios and we went and saw the bourne movie Sunday: Berto and I went to pasadena to the camera show thing. I drooled over the leica m7. I bought a new tank top, jewlery cleaner and some soap. We went back to his house and took a nap. We went to his grandmas house for dinner Then we went to 2nd street and got some picture ideas. And today here I am at work. Wooo. Haha fist [1] fight

if I'm okay, you're okay [Thursday August 2nd, 2007 8:00pm] My head is hurting. I close tonight at work and I close tomorrow night. But I get paid tomorrow and hopefully I can buy my rangefinder sunday. I also hope my mom gives me money so I can buy jewlery cleaner at the tiffanys in pasadena when I go sunday. Today was my last day of summer school and it was cool. We took our final then berto and I went and ate a burrito then we went back to class and we made pictures with a pinhole camera. I've decieded that I will take photo next semester but I will do it through community ed so it won't be for credit and I don't have to pay, I'm glad I can take it like that so I don't have to worry about grades and I still get to use the lab facilities. I still have 9 days until I can register for school. I hope I can still manage to sign up for the classes I need. I've got about 26 days to make this summer a good summer. fist [0] fight

the first [Wednesday August 1st, 2007 11:30pm] I can't believe it's august already! Tomorrow is my last day of summer school, so stoked. I get paid on friday, and most of that will go into my 'Mina needs new clothes' fund. fist [0] fight

book nerd [Tuesday July 31st, 2007 11:00pm] It took me about 6 months or more to finally finish on the road. And within the last week I've finished 2 books. So this year so far I've read: On the Road: Jack Kerouac Pieces: Multiple authors Choke: Chuck Palahniuk Next is Peter Pan and then Alice in Wonderland. appear [Saturday July 28th, 2007 12:03am] Why can't life always be as good as today? Today was just such a good day. Nothing weird, no awkward moments, it was just a good day. I woke up around 9:30, I layed around for awhile, I went and took a shower, after I went to the good will and dontated some old clothes. Then I came back home and ate and watched tv and read. Then around 3:30 I went over to Berto's house and we watched his dogs play in the living room. Then we headed off to the post office and then in and out to eat. We walked around the spectrum and sat at borders for a little while. Then I went home and waited until katrina got there. When katrina got there we went to cue and took hilarious pictures. Im glad the asian lady was there to help us, and she took a picture with us because she was that awesome. haha. and she told us they needed security in that area because asian gangs are a big thing around there. ahha. afterwards we went and saw the simpsons. soooo funny. such a good night. shopping [Friday July 27th, 2007 2:39pm] I made a new lj, silly_lovesong, Im not going to start using it until the end of august but you can start adding me there and i'll start adding people from there. i went shopping a few days ago. i got... and this in black... tonight katrina and i are going to see the simpsons. we arent going to tegan and sara. a bit of a bummer, but eh. I went with berto of wednesday to see Portugal the Man, the show was really good. It was awesome. It's almost august and I still feel indifferent about summer. fist [4] fight

hummus [Monday July 23rd, 2007 9:00pm] I love being able to wake up whenever I want. Today berto and I went to henrys and we bought things to make hummus and a few amys burritos for me to eat. The hummus was alright, it had too much garlic. We drove to claremont afterwards and then we went to tillys and I bought a new backpack. When I got home I looked at my fishtank to check up on my frog todd because he was acting strange and when i got home he was dead. RIP todd, berto and i will be burying him tomorrow night. RIP TODD. I finally finished reading "On the Road" it was a great book. It was really well written. Well its time for me to watch Greek fist [2] fight

presenting the self [Sunday July 22nd, 2007 11:48pm] This is going to be long and this will most likely be pointless. Berto and I took our english assesment tests on thursday, today we got the results and neither of us scored college level. It's stupid, now I'm stuck having to take extra english classes. The only thing that is so frustrating is that I know I could have done good, but they had the most dumb prompts for us to choose from, it was practically impossible to even write about anything in any organized fashion. My mom was once married to a man named ralph. This man is not my dad, but he was my major father figure between the age of 2-8. It may not be a long time but when you are growing up thats a very important age. I haven't talked to him since I was in the 4th grade. Tomorrow is his birthday and while thinking of that I looked him up on myspace, and would you believe it, he had one. I just looked at it and closed the window. I've made many attempts to find him and I have wimped out on making any attempt at contact with him each time. I would want to write to him and talk to him and just get some closure to what had happend almost 10 years ago. But I'm afraid that I will try and that I will get nothing back and that I will be dissapointed. Because after 10 years I've really had to pump myself up about it. And now I'm just scared that I am going to get let down and it wont be what I've expected. And I don't know if I could deal with the hurt right now. But am I ever really going to be ready for it? fist [0] fight
